How to Be a Great Mentor

Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PMEastern Daylight Time

    Virtual event

Speaker: Todd Leff, Associate Dean, Wayne State Graduate School

The mentor-mentee relationship is an important component of most academic and workplace environments and occurs in different forms.  In addition to the typical academic mentor/mentee relationship, mentors also exist as informal advisors, supporting individuals through various life experiences.  Unfortunately, few of us have had any kind of training on being an effective and fair mentor.

This session will provide an overview and best practices for mentorship, including what the role of a mentor should be and the advice that mentees often seek. Plus, you will learn the boundaries that should be observed in any mentoring relationship.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
